Recreational opportunities abound

Hobart area residents are fortunate in having easy access to a variety of safe, sandy swimming beaches within 20 minutes of the CBD. This is increasingly rare for a capital city and adds greatly to our quality of life. Each year an estimated 20,000 anglers fish the region and an enormous amount of boating opportunities exist across the harbour and our bays. Easy and challenging walking tracks are used throughout the seasons by visitors and locals alike.
