Our Science Week symposium will be held on Thursday 27 August 2026 at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre. It is a fantastic opportunity to discover the story of our estuary through the eyes of the scientists and environmental managers working to understand and protect it.
We invite community members, students, environmental professionals and anyone else who is curious about the health of Timtumili Minanya / Derwent to join us for an inspiring day. Enjoy insights and information on the latest findings on water quality, ecosystem health and emerging challenges facing our iconic waterway.
We are also pleased to invite EOIs from students who’d like to do a poster on Derwent related work. If you are successful, we will be very pleased to provide free registration (valued at $50) to come along for the day!
